Michael James Scott

Virtual Concert + QA on Diversity & LGBTQ+ in the Workplace

During a truly unprecedented time in our world, and the joy that theatre brings to millions of people everywhere put on pause, boy do I miss the energy of a live concert or Broadway show! Heck, I miss just being in a space and laughing together.

Join me for a unique and rare opportunity to enjoy an intimate, interactive live concert theatre experience. There will be singing, talking and lots of laughing together.

I speak and encourage companies/teams to bring diversity, equity, and inclusion into their workspace. I talk about how companies can support their LGBTQ+ and diverse team members.

I can also provide an interactive concert experience with “The Genie Journey” that companies can offer their teams families to join in at home for a family/team building event that everyone can enjoy!

My Background

Hey Y’all! I’m Michael James Scott, an award-winning Actor, Song & Dance man who has had a passion for the performing arts since the age of 6 (when my mom said my first words were sung).

I am best known for playing the "Genie" in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway and around the world including Australia, London, and North America.

My career started as a child actor in TV and Commercials, but Broadway has always been the dream since a very young age and for the past 16 years I’ve lived out that dream.

On Broadway I have been seen in All Shook Up, Mamma Mia, The Pirate Queen, Disney’s Tarzan, Hair and I originated the role of the "Doctor" in The Book of Mormon (yes that’s me on the cast album who sings the famous line "I have Maggots in my Scrotum"...and yes my parents are proud). I also originated the role of the Minstrel in Something Rotten.
